dc lvl 4 1.4 ohm dual coil

ok just got everything wired up and when i turn on my car the amp is in protect mode...

not sure why cuz i measured volts at amp and it says 14.4 so its not the fuse can anyone help me out here???

If it was a fuse issue it wouldn't be in protect. take the sub off the amp and turn the ampp back on annd see if its in prootect. If the amp stays in protect without a load thhen you have an ammpp issue. If the light isn't in pretect then subs bad.

Typically I woould agree with that, but he goooes into prrotect as soon as it turns on..usually if the amp turns off because of a ow impedence it will takke a whie to overheat and fail.

I'm going to ay mmy mooney on the ampp having an issue internally.

Haha sry I didn't get back in here I figured it out... I had my remote wire connected at the headunit wrong... I thought I had it right when I put my headunit innlike 2 months ago but I guess it wasn't the right wire haha subs and everything work beautifully now

Haha yea I do have another question my gain is at half and LPf is right around 80 hz are those right? The gain is on half cuz I am braking them in. Also how do I measure how many watts the subs are running on?

the gain should be set according to the output voltage of your headunit, there are very few cases where the gain should be much more than half, and the lpf is fine there, i run mine at 63, but its controlled on the hu, the best way to measure the watts is to clamp it, use a dmm for voltage and a clamp on amp meter,

Ok so I should turn down my gain more and I'll have to get a clamp meter which I think my pap has but any way does anyone know does the remote bass knob with the ap3000 control gain like Sao I have gain on amp at half if I turn the remote bass knob all the way up it's only half gain right?
