i'm trying to trim down my system. i currently am running 4 swiss audio spl1290's with 2 memphis 1000d amps. the subs are in this BIG ARSE box consuming my trunk. I am thinking of going down to 2 subs and 1 amp and want to get a wall moreorless built in my trunk. I took out the stock 4x10's in the rear deck and have no plans to place anything there so i can use those speaker openings as a port into the passenger area. My rear fill is created by 2 memphis 15-st40's in the upper rear trim panels of my 81 cutlass. I got some estimates from local speaker shops and they said 300-350 bucks to do it properly. My question is Does this sound reasonable and do you believe this will stil sound decent? I dont compete in spl or anything like that but i am still looking for some serious bass. my amp will push 1100rmsx1 @1ohm and my subs are 700rms d4ohmvc's. Thanx for any input.
