Need opinion from someone with experience

Yo this is my first time posting here but im looking for some help/advice. Im looking at buying a digital design 2500 series 12 inch sub in a ported box with a planet audio 1200 watt amp. its gonna go in my 2000 honda civic ex coupe. will this bang hard in my car? any opinions on the products? and what else would i need to hook it up. sorry i just really dont know much about car audio. any help would be appreciated. thanks

that sure is a nice sub to expose to such a shitty amp.... that DD might catch a STD if they bang too hard.

Definitely put that sub in the right box. Don't buy a prefab, either get one designed and then build it or get with a place that will build one for you. Going from most prefabs to a proper box is like buying a whole new sub.

What size wire you running? You have any electrical upgrades? Need some more info from you if you want the most from us.

what sub is it? D4, D2, etc., and which PA 1200 watt amp is it exactly?

Basically im buying it off a friend of a friend and trying to find out if its a solid setup. Its pa tq1201d 1200w amp, on 0 guage wire, and its the dd 2500 series 12 inch sub(the one thats 329.00). He says its in a custom made box to hit harder. Granted, thats all the stuff he has claimed to me. I have a new pioneer 3400ub head unit. But don't have a capacitor or anything else. Im gonna hear the setup before I buy it, but he wants $275. I just want to know if its worth the 1.5 hour drive to check out and if theres anything I can do to improve it
