Need new sub suggestions....RE's blew already

Have not even had them a year and I already blew both of my RE Audio SE15's:(. And before I start getting all the flaming, I have never blown a sub in the past...and I have had MANY systems (1-12", 2-15's, 4-12's, 3-12's, 1-10", 2-12's, etc). I worked in car audio, installed my own and friend's systems plenty of times, know about distortion, etc...so I am not a complete car audio idiot, nor am I the all-knowing, hence this post In any case, I am looking to probably go with something different this time unless someone can recommend some phenomenol 15's that don't cost a fortune (i.e. under $250/ea...I paid $159/ea for these).

I would prefer to go with 12's this time though. And most likely 4 of them since I don't think 2 would make me happy. Would prefer something that uses as little air space as possible when ported while at the same time not costing a fortune, $100-$150/ea. As for sub power, I am running a Crunch GP3000D-Pro, 1/0 gauge front to back on pos and neg, BatCap 800 in the rear (right by amp), and stock alternator. The amp is stable at 1-ohm mono, so the sub impedance has to be compatible. I listen to all kinds of music and I want something that is musical, but at the same time has the capability of being extremely loud blazing some Ying Yang Twins

i had that problem with my re se 10's but i think it was more of the installers fault argh!

I wish I could say the same about this, but I used to work with the guy and he was the head installer at a high-end shop and has been doing this for 20+ years.

Yea, Re SE are great speakers for the price, but people just keep pushing the envelope.

Somebody Says they'll move on 800W

Anyother says they'll take 900W

Somebody else says thell burp 1200w

Next thing you know people run them daily at 1500w because people think they are gods gift to Car audio.

With my SE 12's still my favorite woofer ive ever owned, anything after 900w was almost useless anyways. It was doing all it could do at around 900w.
