Need New Battery or alt??

I wanna run another amp..a 4 channel amp with my mono amp...will i need to upgrade my battery or alternator??...i have a 850CC battery just a regular one and a 105A alternator...my mono amp is 1700w...running at 500w rms @ 4 ohm...with 2x30A fuses...my 4 channel..well i have not got yet..pretty sure i will get something like a RF 4004...the new 2006 model...it does 25x4@4 ohm...with 2x20A fuses..what and how do you find out how much current these amp pull?? will the alt and batt i have survive..right now my volts stay at 14.4V...and my batt is just fine..little low...but will get a yellow top if it dies...and alt..will a 140 or 160A be sufficient..thanks..and help will do

I had a 105a on my truck for the longest time. You will be fine off the power you have. If you notice any dimming, try the "big 3" before you get a new battery or alt. Hook it up and reply back on what happens.

it looks like your not running that many watts RMS and 14.4 volts is really good so i would just get a bigger battery like an optima, odyssey, or kenitik.

I checked out all possible batteries to get and optima yellow top is the only one with the GM side posts..i dont wanna have add ons just built right on there..and i can get a yellow top for about 169.99 installed..maybe when i upgrade subs and amps i will get big batts in the back any kind like kinetik...will autozone have 140 or 160A alt for a blazer??

most likely not, but they didn't have anything like that for my camaro when mine went out. you should be fine though, dont waste your money if you dont have to.

Chances are you wont need it. Batterys are good if you listen to your music off. When your car is on it runs on the alt. If your car is on and it is using your battery for anything...you have a problem.

what size yellow top will definitely fit a 2000 chevy blazer 4 dr 4x4??...75/25 or the big 78/34??
