Need New Amp

I have two 12" Infinity reference Series subs hooked up to a 800 watt RMS Audiobahn A8000t mono amp. I live in Arizona and it is constantly hot outside, and even with the weather just starting to be bearable, the amp overheats. I'm looking for a new amp that gets rid of the excess heat well, if not an amp with an internal fan (which the current one has a fan, and I removed the dust from inside, so idk why it's overheating.)

If it makes a difference, I also have a 4 channel Audiobahn AMA12004H 150 RMS and 1200 W peak amp, which I also thought had fans, but didn't when I checked back after ordering it...

The 4 channel amp is hooked up to 2 5-way Kenwood KFC-6995PS 6x9's (125 RMS, 600 W Peak) and 2 2-way Kicker CS65 6.5" coaxial speakers with 1/2" dome tweeters. I also have the kickers hooked up as component speakers with 2" tweeters on my dash. This amp also overheats at times, and doesn't even have a fan in it, but lasts longer than the mono amp.

Another thing is I have the power going through a 1-farat capacitor for when the subs hit as well.

The 4 channel audiobahn is new, but the mono audiobahn my brother handed down to me from when he was 20. that was ten years ago.

I think im done with audiobahn and am looking for a new amp that can handle heat better. If anyone can show me a nice amp that's under $200, (or even $300 for a 5 channel amp) that would fit my situation. Thank you.

i live in AZ as well and have never had an issue with amps overheating. you must be clipping the amp or have a bad ground. if you do need to replace the bass amp i have an alpine mrp-m2000 i am selling.

how to I check if it's clipping? I know I have a very slight bit of alternator whine, but it's not too loud at all.

turn your gain down. it should not be that high. if over 1/2 then lower the gain on the 4ch and sub amp and raise the volume on your radio as the amps need a stronger input signal.

where is your ground at?

The way I tuned the amp was I put the volume up to 34 out of 39 then tuned it to how high I would want the music to be at a "max" level. I probably have the gain at around half for the front and maybe a quarter for the rear. the ground is in the trunk. I have 0 gauge wire going from both the battery and my ground (which is a metal screw going into a ground down piece of metal that is in the trunk) to the capacitor, which then has double-upped 8 gauge wire (two positive and two negative 8 gauge) going to the 4 channel amp and the mono amp.

what radio do you have? does it have a sub output? what is the sub volume if it has one?
I have the Boss BV8966B (its a touchscreen one) and yes it has a sub output. The volume is set to 35 on that as well. The mono amp's gain is probably about half and the subs hit fairly well without drowning out the rest of the sound.

the boss radio is the weak link here. it will only provide the high power output at the max volume but will distort the signal way before that point. boss, jensen, dual are all brands i stay far away from in the car audio world

audiobahn is right behind them

so would you think that I just need to change out the radio to keep the amps from overheating? If so do you have any recommendations for another touchscreen radio?

getting a good quality headunit is one of the most important parts of the audio system if not the most important part. it is where all the audio starts at. i have always liked the kenwood or jvc units as they have never let me down. really it comes to personal preference on brand and what features you want or need to have. a good source unit paired with good install and tuning= a good quality system and happy owner

do you think that could fix the overheating then?
