I have two 12" Infinity reference Series subs hooked up to a 800 watt RMS Audiobahn A8000t mono amp. I live in Arizona and it is constantly hot outside, and even with the weather just starting to be bearable, the amp overheats. I'm looking for a new amp that gets rid of the excess heat well, if not an amp with an internal fan (which the current one has a fan, and I removed the dust from inside, so idk why it's overheating.) If it makes a difference, I also have a 4 channel Audiobahn AMA12004H 150 RMS and 1200 W peak amp, which I also thought had fans, but didn't when I checked back after ordering it... The 4 channel amp is hooked up to 2 5-way Kenwood KFC-6995PS 6x9's (125 RMS, 600 W Peak) and 2 2-way Kicker CS65 6.5" coaxial speakers with 1/2" dome tweeters. I also have the kickers hooked up as component speakers with 2" tweeters on my dash. This amp also overheats at times, and doesn't even have a fan in it, but lasts longer than the mono amp. Another thing is I have the power going through a 1-farat capacitor for when the subs hit as well. The 4 channel audiobahn is new, but the mono audiobahn my brother handed down to me from when he was 20. that was ten years ago. I think im done with audiobahn and am looking for a new amp that can handle heat better. If anyone can show me a nice amp that's under $200, (or even $300 for a 5 channel amp) that would fit my situation. Thank you.
