Need more volts!

Alright, my stock cd player only will send out 5 volts through the remote 12v cable. I dont want to go out and buy a new CD player, is there any way I can get more volts to my amp with a line driver or something?

Thanks.

I know its only putting 5v because I had checked some sites and the manual for my car, other fuses might work but they turn on when the car does and not when the radio, so when the radio turns on, the subs pop which I dont want because it might damage the sub. So what type of line drivers are out their, how do you hook them up, and what type do I need and how many volts will they give me?

Thanks.

All this does is amplify the signal voltage. Audiocontrol is one of the best makers of line drivers/processors/equalizers so it would be a quality unit.

If you're talking about the remote turn-on wire, a line driver isn't the answer. You could get a 5 volt relay and hook the contacts to 12 volts and run the coil from the HU remote.
