need more highs

well what would be installed correctly i mean having my door deaden and sealed wouldnt do much for the highs keeping up with the subs would it.

also if those polks are rated for 125rms per side what would be a good wattage for them to get loud but no blow. i have up to 175rms per side

also does tweet location have anything to do with how loud the highs will get

i have each tweet about 4 inches from the mid angled the passenger side is angled at the driver and the driver is angled at the passenger side

alright . but yeah if my bass drowns out my mids. i guess my
Dont take it the wrong way, I wasnt singling you out. Very few people take the time/effort to do it right.

I subscribe to the old school ways of k.i.s.s. and that is what works for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Installed correctly is very relative and differs with equipment and install. Without hearing it its tough to say. Also tweets usually play a only small amount of the frequency range you hear. Mids are usually what handles the the majority of the vocals.

well being the mids are crossed over on the amp at 80hz not alot of vocals come from the mid

is that what the freq on the amp should be set at 80hz

i aggree but i still am not running my good mids. the two sets of mids i have in their are $50 mids so i dont expect much from them. once i put in my hertz and rf60's i wont need those shitty mids

Sounds like you are on the right track. Also since you are going active, dont let price scare you from cheaper brands. I have heard great front stages with less than $200 spent for mids and tweets.

no i didnt haha wow
so what should the freq be set on the amp
you are really over thinking this whole thing. Its not friggin rocket science man. Leave the x-overs alone.

Put in your shit. See if you like it. If not, change some shit. You make new threads asking basically the same questions that nobody can answer since its your system and you are going to be the one listening to it.

yea well i am giving my 12 l7's 1500rms and its in my truck cab and ported and only have one set of comps with 135rms per side and no rear fill thinking of adding rear fill and sending my comps 150rms per side if they can handle it they should be able to since they are rated at 125rms

My L7's were in my cab too, though sealed boxes.

You may try adding more to your doors instead of spreading the sound to the rear.
