need more highs

as of right now i have polk momo 6.5's upfront the mids in factory location, doors are not deaden or sealed, the tweets are mounted about 4 inches above the mid.

with that being said i have 2 12's l7's ported as of right now only 425rms per sub waiting on my zx1500, but anyway with that much power only now the highs just barely do cut it and i can hear the music but the bass drowns out alot of the highs.

so once i get the 1500 watts i would think that it will really hurt the highs and drown them out, so i was wondering if i just got another set of tweets and mounted them in the a pillars would the pick up the highs alot so the bass doesnt drown the music out or what exactly do i need to do.

not sure if anyone has had the same problem with this as me since i am dirving a f150 supercrew truck and the subs are right behind my head

uppp

looking into a set of polk momo 5.25's use the mid for rer fill and the tweet for the front but idk if polks are gonna cut it they dont get very loud it seems on 135rms they arent that loud maybe on 150rms they will not sure yet

any input on cdt tweet's or kicker tweets

just buy somemore comps you should be good
i have a set of polk momo comps 6.5's and giving them 135rms per side and using the crossover with them and have the setting on the xover at 0db for the tweet and on the amp i have the freq at 80hz for the mid

and i mean with only 1500rms ported i shouldnt need more than one set of comps should i

i have 2 sets soon to be 4 setts of mids i run 4 l7's and the bass drowns out the sound bad. im running 1800 rms i run one set of tweets soon too be 2 sets of tweets. i am going active on top of all of it

yea but i was just curious if anyone would think for 1500rms on two 12's ported would need more than one set of comps

if one set would work how much power can i safely give the polks

That means your install and/or equipment is shitty. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

well what would be one set of comps that can keep up with 2 12's l7's ported on 1500rms that some of you guys know would do the job

IF installed correctly than yes. I have installed one set of components in vehicles that do 150+ daily and they keep up just fine.
