need major help deciding

on whether to get an alpine 9887 or an eclipse 8454...the eclipse model its like 4 years old but it has 8v pre outs...i know i wnt reach that but its better than a max of 4v on the 9887 right?...what would u choose?...

never used the eclipse, but the 9887 is a great hu so that gets my vote.

Absolutely no need for "high voltage" preouts. The amp has a gain control for a reason. If its a quality amp, you shouldn't have any problems running even 2V nominal preouts.

my amp is crap...well for now it is...im still deciding on whether to buy ryans solid audio amp or jakes sundown 1500d
