need laptop help asap

bump. Anyone know how to fix the errors i got in diagnostics?
Its a problem with the charger, test it with a new charger, if it doesnt fix it, then only way to fix is to replace the board unless they've come out with a fix since last time i've tried fixing it for customers

To be honest new charger for cases like this only fix the issue roughly 10% of the time, usually if a dell charger will let laptop turn on then its not a bad charger

you can try updating the bios in the dell drivers/updates site ( Welcome to Dell Technical Support )

but i'm 99% sure it wont fix the issue

Here's a possible fix I read online, can't confirm or deny if it will work or not.

" This is happening only at Dell laptop, but we found a fix that worked in most of the cases. Before starting the laptop remove the CMOS battery for 5 min for BIOS reset. You will need a dell compatible AC-DC charger and a dell compatible battery charged above 10%. Start the laptop and press F2 key. In setup fix the clock. Restart saving the changes. When the new BIOS message appear press F1 key to continue. When in windows go on the DELL website, search for your model drivers, according to your model and download the BIOS upgrade. Run DELL BIOS upgrade, and the computer will restart and upgrade the BIOS. When started again, your laptop will recognize the battery and AC-DC adapter. "

Seems like they're just resetting the bios so they can reupgrade it again indicating there's a bios fault, seems unlikely it will fix issue but worth a shot.

Here's a bandaid fix I read online, if your model supports docking stations-

"he best workaround short of replacing the motherboard is to purchase a Dell docking station and a 90w Dell power supply (if you dont already have one; a 65w power pack will not work with the docking station). You can find them on ebay for pretty cheap, 20.00 for the dock and 30.00 for the 90w power pack.

The docking station works well to charge the laptop."

***UPDATE**

I bought a new charger for it, the new one charges it.........then quits charging it. It literally charges it for a secondish then disconnects, then charges it, then quits, then charges it, etc etc etc.

when i shut it down and plug it in, it charges it constantly. Its charging it right now shut down, ill wait a little bit and boot it up to make sure it's getting a charge. But so far the charging light stays it up constantly.

any idea why it wont constantly charge it when it's booted up?

Does charging light go off when booted up (When its not charging?)

If so does charging light turn off immediately when turning on, or after booting into windows?

Have you updated bios yet?

Did that help/fix it? You never answered if it stops charging immediately when powered on or when it boots to windows?

Guessing by the message in the bios you said, "unidentified charger.." that it stops immediately when turned on.

Also probably would have been a good idea to make sure you know to keep computer plugged in when updating bios and not interrupting the process =P
