Need Info On JL w6v2 Help!

What type of enclosure are they in? That will determine the power needs.
Wire them to 4 ohm and bridge a two channel. It makes no sense to wire to 1 ohm and run the piss out of an inefficient Class A/B.
its a sealed enclosure.....not quite wure on the dimensions. BUt its a smaller enclosure id say. I had a bigger box before, but the subs blew the seals apart. i got this competition box from a buddy. yeah i hear ya on runnin the piss out of amps.......thats y im searching for a new one. im liking that aq1200 its reasonable in price and has the power i need.

whats the difference in sound when it comes to ohms. if they're at 1 ohm do they hit harder or what?

they have a sales number and a email, as far as i know, thats the only place legit to get them. They do pop up used on line from time to time.

Clipping means not to drive the subs past the thermal or machanical limits. The subs are rated for 750wrms, so you want to set the amp gain to deliver that power with out distortion.

none, The ohms is determined by the subs. the amps output is varied depending on the load it is given.

ok...so in a couple weeks when i get the amp could you help me play with the settings? the subs are awesome and i want to get the best quality sound out of them. And back to that aq1200 like i said its rated at 1200rms at 1ohm, so does that mean around 600 per sub? cause that would be perfect!

yes. Check back when you get something. If you go with the aq 1200 it would ba a nice match. They are nice amps and will fit the w6's nice. They also seem to be very good as far as power consumption, which is a good thing if your running a stock electrical system.

k thanks for help.....i need to invest in a high powered alternator or a cap or something i know, but college takes most my money so itll have to wait till summer.

forget about the cap..waste of money. do the big three and you should be fine. what size alt do you have now? an alt that does 110 amps should be fine for you set up with the big 3.

dont know what the big 3 is? do a quick search. but is basically adding larger wire to your cars exsisting wireing. most oem wires are 8awg or something else small. Upgrade some of them with atleast 4-2 awg.

i think its 105 but im unclear on the big 3......how do i change out the wires?

Go to a car parts store that sells battery cable. Buy some zero gauge cable so you'll do it right the first time. Run a zero gauge cable from your alternator to your battery, and then replace the cables that ground your battery with zero gauge aswell. There will be two ground cable to replace, one is from your battery to your cars frame, the other is from your battery to the engine.

If your planning on running a 1000 watt amp or higher the big 3 will probably not be enough. You'll probably need a second battery. I was running a cap for a while and edzy is right, waste of money. Just do the big 3 and get a second battery and you'll REALLY be ok.

You need to kind of figure that out, man. I'm assuming the subs are each in their own sealed enclosure? It's not a ported enclosure, is it?

What type of vehicle?

Until you determine power needs, ignore all this talk about adding second batteries and capacitors. I will agree with the recommendation to upgrade the battery to ground connection, at least. If you already have 1/0 then go for it, but it's definitely not needed....4 AWG is fine.

ok stll not sure on dimensions...but it is NOT ported and both subs are in their own enclosre. i can measure it tomorrow.

my vehicle is...ha ha ha a buik regal. 95.

i researched the "big 3" and it seems fairly easy and cheap. so i will be doing that while i wait to recieve my amp. if thats not enough i can look into other methods in the future.
