Need HU for old Lincoln

My brother has a 79 Lincoln Town Car with an AM/FM 8-Track. The radio is double-high and mounts with the control shafts. I want to hook him up with a modern unit, but I dunno what will fit in there. I can deal with the mounting issue, but can't leave a big hole for the difference in height. Is there anything that might fit this old boat?

a double DIN? Man, it's EVERYWHERE in Korea... kinda hard to find a single DIN here...
