need help with kinetik as main battery

when i drive at night with my hids on parking lights dash lights etc on when the subs hit i get some dimming from my dash lights. my battery is new but isn't that strong so since my birthday is thursday i was going to give myself an upgrade my main starting battery to a kinetik 1400 i'm only running one audioque 1200 amp. is this the right thing to do? will it fix my dimming or is it a waste? and wheres the best place to get one of these?

Yes it is worth it. Will it ALONE fix your dimming...probably not 100% but it will def cut it down alot. Along with a new batt you should do the big 3 with 0 ga. and look into some good terminals.

I ran the stock charging system on my 1997 Civic with 750 watts RMS off of a single Kinetik and the big 2 of three (grounds only). When I upped it to 1,500 watts RMS, I had to charge the battery every now and again. Now I have a 170 amp high output alternator in addition to the Kinetik, the complete Big 3, and removed Honda's ELD circuit with a bootleg ECU! Now, I have no more problems!

lemme know ho upgrading to a single hc1400 works out for you on that amp

i have the same amp, and was looking to upgrade to the same exact batt but didnt wanna do it unless i knew it was gonna fix all my problems i already did big three with 1/0g wire, now just need to upgrade batt and i should be good

i think i'm going to do the big 2 ( the grounds) because the alternator wire is a pain in the *** to get to. it's an 85 monte carlo and i'm going to do the battery upgrade as soon as possible. how do i get the gm terminals onto the kinetik battery?

I would change the stocker terminals though and go to an hc1800

big 3 fixed all my dimming issues in my girl's truck, i'd def try that out first...but if you just *have* the money, a new quality battery ALWAYS is a good investment, hands down.
