On Monday, I had my old system installed in my new car, which included (among other things) two Crossfire amps, one 2 channel and 1 mono for my two Kicker Solobaric 12's running at 1 ohm.
The system ran fine in my old car with 4 awg power and ground. I bought new wires for this install, which was a Tsunami 4 gauge kit, which I later learned is not true 4 awg, but I was told that it shouldn't really be a problem for the Crossfire 1000D amp.
Anyway, I checked the install and everything looked good and was fused properly, but on my way home from the install place I blew the fuse in the Distribution Block going to the mono amp. Today, I replaced the fuse, and the moment I turned the car on, the fuse immediately blew again, and smoke poured from the amp.
What the hell happened? Did I blow my amp? As far as I can tell, there are no wires touching each other.
