Need Help With Box For 2004 Monte Carlo SS (all input appreciated)

Im putting 2 12 dc audio lvl 4 xl in a 2004 monte carlo ss. Im just wondering if I should fire both subs and port forward into the cabin and seal off box from the trunk. or try subs and port firing towards trunk? IM really no sure what to do as of right now. The las setup in the car was 2 orion hccas off the memphis 4kw they were firing forward from the very rear of trunk box was too bit to bring to front to seal off from trunk and it did a 144 on the TL. Hoping to improve that score with better box design and what not and new subs and power. Like I said all input appreciated. Let me know what you guys think.

If possible forward facing and sealed off from trunk. Works well for me. As a bonus your trunk won't make a crap load of vibrating noise.
