need help with bazooka tube

ok so i bought a amplified bazooka tube and install kit today and have spent the last 2 hours trying to install it and am not getting anywhere so i'm thinking it has to do with one of these......

1- how are you supposed to attach the wire from the tube to the battery. i found a place to run it through the firewall so thats not the problem. the cable that comes in the install package is a heavy cable than what is coming out of the tube but i dont think that should make a difference since thats what the guys at circuit city gave me for it. also on the end of the cable that is supposed to connect to the battery has a loop on it like it's supposed to go around the battery prong but it's waay to small to fit so i tryed putting it behind the screw that loosens the battery clips and i tryed just having it clipped between the prong and the clip...i finally tryed cutting the whole loop thing off and stripped about a half inch of cable and ran that in between the prong and the clip and still nothing.

2- i havent connected the ground wire to the chassis like it said to but thats only because i dont have a drill and therefore cant. i tryed attaching the loop to it and just pressing it against to chassis but it didnt make a difference.

3- and then theres the remote turn on line. it said to either connect it to your head unit under the antenna connection or under the accessorys but i couldnt find anyway to do either of those so i looked in the manual and it said that as a last resort you can just connect auto turn on wires and turn it to on and it should work..

sorry for the lond post, i'm calling up circuit city tomorrow but i thought maybe one of you guys could help me out first...

u dont have to hook it up to the chassis, just try to find a bolt that is metal on metal in the rear installing area

u can hook the wire up to ur radio fuse, its a lot easier lol but ghetto. just pull the fuse out and then wrap the wire around it and put it back

thanks for the help....what about the battery cable?......it has a small metal ring thats attached to the wire where the cable is supposed to hook up the battery. how are you supposed to hook it up to the battery?

so the hole on the ring terminal is to small to go through the battery bolt...is it side or top mounted terminals or both...if its side or top just fray the wire w/o the connecter and just stick it in..yeah its ghetto but it works...u might want to get some electrical tape to close the surrounding wire just to be safe....

if you already connected to the battery with out connecting the ground, you might have blown the amp. Be careful when you hook it up next... do the ground first. Just scrape some paint off of the body under a seat or some carpeting or something and hook it to a screw or bolt there. Then do the 12v power.

Do those sound ok at all? I heard one at frys electonics and hated it.
Ive heard 3-4, they sound really bad.

Kinda rude but, the Infinity basslink murders it .

If you can return it buy the basslink, it sounds alot better and its louder ( 10")

what about when i hook up the remote turn on line? if i run that to my fuse box and connect it to my radio fuse then how should i do that?....just wrap the wire around part of the metal prongs and put it back in?

i just looked on the back of my deck and one of the wires is red and has a tag on it that reads "acc" is this an accesory wire?...if so could i cut that and attatch the turn on wire to that?...theres a bunch of wires on the back of the deck but thats the only one thats labeled.

jus splice into the acc wire and use that as your remote turn on ......thats really what it is anyways.....its used tot urn the h/u on when u turn ur car on or to the acc possition.......

i went down to circuit city and talked to the guy in charge of installations and he looked at my car and though everything looked good. so after about 15 min of loooking around he disconnected my ground wire and touched it to a different peice of metal and it fired right up. problem solved, thanks for all your guys help
