Need Help With Amplifier Choice

Hey guys! What's going on?

Well, I am in the market for a 4-channel amp. It is going to be used to power my 4 65 rms Infinity Reference 6.5 coaxials. Maybe in the future, it will be used to power some comps, but for now, just the infinities.

I am looking to spend no more than $100 including shipping. I made a post in the WTB forum, but nothing too great has come up.

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions for what I should be looking for or know of any good deals.

I was looking at this AMP on EBAY, but I do not know how the reputation of PROFILE is, nor do I know if I could get better for $85 shipped.

dude, if you are going to get that spend 5 dollars more and get the profile from etronics....the ap1040. cause isnt the actual ap or ca(whatever it is called) line supposed to be better than the baja? shipped to my door it was like 106 or 107.

us acoustics 4065. it goes for $130 brand new from an authorized dealer so you should find it on ebay for less. excellent amps imo. they are also rated at 12.9 volts. i loved mine. never failed me once.

yes. haven't found really anybody who has had problems with them. there a cheaper brand like profile, but are nice amps.

I would rather spend more money in an amp for my speakers since thats what is all about, low THD, although you can hear 1% THD so you will be fine up to 1%. Try and get the lowest one you got. I know USAmps has their THD ratings of their 2 and 4 channel amps rated at 0.025%

The US Acoustic 4065 is listed as THD of "Less Then 0.01%"

the THD on the us acoustics is 0.01% and has a s/n ratio of 100 db's, and an input voltage of 8.8 volts, and makes rated power at 12.9 volts. the us acoustics is a great amp. if i didn't get my PG ti500.4 so cheap i would be running one.

No doubt it is, specially at a low price.

why didn't it work out? with your budget i would say your best bet then is too look into profile.

Actually, I lied.

This morning at like 6, when I was getting ready for work, I saw an email from EBAY saying I was outbid.

I checked again, and realized it was a different product. Bidding on the 4065 ends tomorrow night at 10. I still have time.

Just won my used but in great condition US Acoustics 4065 off of EBAY for $56 including shipping....
