need help with amp problem!

Okay I have made a diagram to show the equipment and to help describe my problem. The problem is that today when I started my truck the sub never started playing. I checked the subwoofer amp and it was not on. I made sure all of the wires were hooked up and then thought to check the fuses. Well the fuse is blown in the zx250.2 amp. Not sure why it happened? Setup has been wired up in my truck and working fine for nearly 3 months. It is mounted securely so it didn't move around or hit anything and I don't think any wires touched each other. My question is should I just try and replace the fuse and see if it fixes it or is there something else wrong that will need more than just a replaced fuse? Never had any problems with any of my amps so I am unsure about diagnosing amp problems.

The amp is running bridged at 4 ohms. The sub is a dual 2 ohm. Even if I replace the fuse and it works fine from now on, I would like to know why the fuse blew in the first place? Another thing I should add is that the component amp (mrp-m220) is still working fine even though they share the same power source and the same remote wire so I don't think it is wiring fault, unless it is between the distrobution block and the sub amp (zx250.2)

Anyone able to answer my question and help me?

Update: bought a new 40 amp fuse and replaced the blown one. Turned on the ignition and the amp instantly blew the new fuse and then filled the cab of my truck up with smoke...I believe the amp is toast.

I had the same type of wiring setup in multiple different vehicles over the past 3 years with zero problems before. I bought the amp refurbished so it has apparently had problems before...

I think this amp is toast and replacing the fuse and finding a new ground would not help it. It filled my cab up with smoke and has a terrible burnt electronic smell, it smoked for a good 15 minutes even after being completely unhooked. I will be sure to double check my ground connections before installing a new amp.
