I've had Infinity Reference subs 10 and 12s they are really nice subs..I don't like the newer models at all through.

That's $172 shipped. I could be nice and hand over the $22. But man CompVRs were always just LOUD to me. What am I thinking in this budget? Grr...

For $160 I can get 2 RE RE 12s (Not the REX crap). But that's somewhere else. Means I'd have to basically buy the giftcard from her and find something on Amazon for myself. Don't really need anything from there, but could always find something..... TO me for the money, RE 12s are better than any of these choices.

If the cvrs get a nice box they will sound decent if the a sealed up in a trunk

Holy Schnikies Batman, is this stuff Legit? Really, that seems hard to beat in a budget kit. I've heard Audiopipe's amps are decent, but don't know anything about the Hifonics Subs. You think this setup is better than the other options?

yeah 100% legit. i bought from vmi a couple months ago and snagged an AP1500. the ap's do their rated power, albeit not cleanly but you will only be running ~600 rms or so.

there is actually an SPL contest on here for under $150. people were hitting high 140's with the pair of those hifonics (though it was in a fart box). still, $50 for a pair of subs that hit high 140 is **** good

The Malibu Maxx is a hatch. Trust me I know it's 90% enclosure (or at least 70%). It's just hard trying to work from one place, with

stuff I wouldn't normally buy. Not that the Comp VR is a bad sub, just not what I would want. Of course, my lil sis won't even notice

The cvrs will get louder then anything on your list so far. I dont know if she is into that or not

if she wants bass just convince her to get a type r in a good ported box. but if shes stubborn and wants 2 then get 2 type e's.

if she strictly wants her stuff from amazon i doubt she would want something extremely loud hitting 150's. just give her something that would sound nice.

Any of these will be fine. Stop worrying lol. I have guy friends who love bass and are happy with a prefab box from best buy with Dual woofers. They don't care, they just like the boom.

And if you build a good box, any sub will do well. I had 2 32$ woofers from Dayton home audio and put them in a good ported box off of 300w and it sounded better than 80% of what you can buy from best buy
