Need help wiring 2 alpine swr-10d2 to an autotek 4050.1

Im trying to figure out the best way to wire 2 alpine swr -10d2 to an autotek 4050.1 amp. The amp is 1,2 and 4ohm stabe. It also has two sets of speaker out puts. The amp gives me 2000 rms @2ohms 1000 rms @4ohms. How can I wire my subs so that the amp sees a 2ohm load if possible. Im a noob lol

Ok thanks alot I did try to read about it but still kinda lost..amp has 2 speaker out puts which is throwing me off. How do I go about using both outputs or do I use just one?

I just looked up that amp and you can't safely run it bridged at 2 ohms. Series each sub for a 4 ohm load and use the left/right speaker outs to run them at 4 ohms. To series, run the + from the amp to the + of vc1, jump the - of vc1 to the + of vc2, then the - of vc2 goes back to the amp. Switch the amp to the 2 channel setting.

Yep im totally lost now lol..so if I cant safely bridge it at two ohms to give me 2000rms then running it at 4ohm will only give me 1000rms total for both subs..***** because subs can handle 1000rms a piece. ****

Also amp dont have a 2 channel setting? Its a mono amp 1 channel but 2 speaker outputs

I looked up 4050 and it's a 4 channel amp. Do you mean the 4000.1?

Im sorry its mm4050.1 forgot 2 mm on the front. Mean machine amplifier

Got it. Go back to my original response and wire them that way. If you want, you can run each sub to the amp, but you don't have to.

Ok so I can just wire 1sub to 1 speaker output and the other sub to the other output without using any jumpers and achieve a 2ohm load and get my 2000rms?

You can run each sub to the amp that way, but you have to series the voice coils to get the 2 ohm load. You have to jump the way I explained.

connect speaker wire or jumper from 1 positive terminal to 1 negative terminal on each sub. Then connect the remaining positive terminal to the positive terminal on the amp. negative to negative. Do this for both subs. You only have a choice of 2 ohms or .5 ohms wiring and .5 ohms on an autotek is a fire hazard. You'll still have enough power to make them play but its not gonna push them hard unless you get another amp and run one for each or strap them.

Just to let you know, with a 90 amp fusing on that amp, your only gonna see around 900-1200 rms at 1 ohm so your subs will probably only get 300-350 actual watts each at 2 ohms. That amp has bloated power ratings.

Hey jeff thats exactly how I have them hooked up right now and thought I did something wrong does feel like its about 300 rms coming out the subs. Not hitting hard at all. Dang looks like I need another amp any recommendations
