Need help sub turns off

Ok here is the problem i am having if someone can please help me out.

Everytime i turn up the volume past 24 or so depending on the bass setting the amp does into same mode. I called Alpine they told me to check the wiring and use a multimeter on the voice coils which i did andc everything was good. What i am thinking is that the voltage might be dropping to much and when it does the amp goes into safe mode.

I have not done anything with the power yet im still tring to decide if i need a second battery of a large cap.

This is the gear i have.

1 Alpine PDX 1.1000

1 Alpine PDX 4.100

1 Alpine 12 Type X Sub

Type X componets in front doors and type R 5x7 in rear deck

yup sounds like voltage drops. times for bigger batt, alt, and wire

oops it may be getting too hot too, where is ti installed and what is the impedence load

its got plenty of space to breath. The sub is a dual 4 ohm ran parralel so its at 2 ohms which is what the amp is rated at. But its kinda funny to me cause the other amp does not turn off but i do notice that the volume dropps a little on it though. Will a seconf battery and the big 3 be enough im onlyh running about 1400 watts rms total.

are you using any kind of bass boost? if so turn that sh it off

the gain is all the way up right now and i do not know the input voltage

no i havnt even adjusted the bass bost on the amp yet and on the deck the bass is at -4

ok will try. but will i still need to upgrade the power?

u shouldn't need to with that much power. just upgrade to 1/0ga. wire and do the big 3

what can i do about my lights dimming while im driving and almost turning off while im stopped.

that will be solved when you properly set your gains. right now the amp is asking for way more power than it should so its robbing the electrical of the power it would be using for lights and stuff

TURN THAT GAIN DOWN SON. amp goes into protect mode if gain is too high and it shuts off.
