will the hifonics titan 750 mono amp be goo to run with this sub? its rated for 750 RMS and i found a sweet deal on one.. will this be good? or should i just get the kicker 750?

why are you raising the bs flag? the amp that i have plugged in right now is ****ed and is nor fonctioning properly.. i mean sure if i turn the gain all the way its retarded and sounds like crap. I just need help on finding a relitevly cheap but good amp.. But i dunno which one is gonna sound better

i did that too man. the amp is rated for 260 rms and the sub is rated 600 rms .. no matter what i do with the gains.. whenever i start to turn up the volume.. the amp shuts off the the blue light at the top starts to flash and you can here the amp clicking and turnign on and off.. and at other times. .the amp will stay on but the sub wont be working... :S

Is it wired correctly?
Turning the gains up to try and get 600wrms out of a 250wrms amp is NOT going to happen.

yes. everything is wired correctly. I just think the amp itself is on it's last legs personaly. It's a pretty old amp. atleast it looks old as shit. Will the hifonics do me justice?

here's a link to the auction that i bought it.. the auction says the sub rms is 1200 watts??? but googles says 600 watts rms.. i'm so confused i don't know wtf is going on.. i need serious help lol.

What is the input voltage? Head unit or eq using 4v or better? Get ahold of a meter and do some measuring.

yeah.. all my speakers are running off of the HU i have sony 6x9's in the rear and sony 6.5's in the front..

how do i figure out the input voltage? what to i put the meter to. i have a meter.. just have no clue about this stuff

First measure the resistance of the subwoofer. put the meter on Ohms setting and touch both wires with the leads of the meter. Your amp likes a 4ohm mono load. that will tell where you are with the load on the amp

Does the system have to be on when i do this? In the link to the amp it doesn't say anything about 4ohms? just something they missed? :S

You need a new amp. You are running it at 2 ohms bridged when it is only stable to 4 ohms.
