need help quick.

Well is it safe to play it on the way to school to tomoro? lol like a 20 minute drive. Im impatient and just want to use it hahah.

If you make sure it is wired like I said. If not you wont have anything to listen to or sell
ok so i just went outside and checked it out. There is a left +/- and right +/- . There are wires plugged into both + and - of the right one. if that made any sense. Then the power wire and all that. So is there anything else he couldve done wrong that be dangerous?

Yes bass boost and improper gain setting. Check it and tell me where its set. Gain might say input voltage
I forgot to mention that the two wires plugged into the right +/- both join together into one wire. **** i got a lot to learn lol. I really feel like i made a mistake just buying this **** without doing some more research. So if i fix the bass boost and gain everything is good and i can listen to it?

If you don't want to do too much replacement you could just replace the amp with one that is 2ohm stable and does approximately 500watts RMS x1 at 2 ohms. That will get good power for the sub, brand does matter post ones you are thinking about in this forum and ppl will help you choose one, look at the classified in here you could find one for cheaper.

You shold have one set of wires coming out of your box. match those to one left or right +/-

Jesus. No one knows how to read ITT, I guess. The sub is DVC 2 Ohm, unless the specs are misleading. Bridging the amp for a 500 watt 4 ohm final load is completely fine.

The amp is getting hot because you have the gain set incorrectly. You could solve this with a few minutes on Youtube. Unplug the bass boost knob completely, and set the gains correctly with a digital multimeter if you can. After that, you'll be fine. If the sub isn't loud enough at that point, then you need to get a different sub.

How do you get it's dual 2? It's a preloaded box he bought & the impedance is listed as 2 ohms, hence dual 4 sub.
The specs say that the sub is 2 ohms and has dual voice coils. These specs are separated from the box. That's why I said the listing may be misleading. It doesn't say the box is seeing 2 ohms.

I honestly have no idea, and I know you two don't either.

OP, spend $10 and buy a DMM. Find out. The DMM will be the best purchase for your car audio needs.
