Need help picking out a new sub!

OK so what about the 95s?
Compare how it sounds on 500 watts vs fully powered and tell me the sub doesn't sound a lot better with more power, especially on metal. Dont care about 120db Judging or w/e, for personal enjoyment, getting the most out of your sub is a must.

Low power, sure it can do alright but you can definitely tell it can do a lot better.

uh huh... soooo whats the specs? PRECISE specs. Just because its says 1.5-2 cubic feet tuned to 30-35hz doesnt meant its proper specs or if it actually is what it claims, you got to get the port area right along with accounting in how much space the subwoofer takes up because that changes the tuning too. Run the numbers by me and i'll let you know if the box is legit or not. Need Depth X Width X Height along with diameter(if its aeroport) or width(if its slot)
There's a thing called box rise/impedance rise Generally you want a good amount of headroom of power if you want to feed your sub with clean low distortion signals.

Ported Recessed Sub Box Enclosure for 1 10" Alpine Type R Subwoofer SWR | eBay

i had one built for my d6 and it gets loud in my truck loading off the passenger side wall in the back.that face he puts on the box to make the sub look recessed is simply nailed on.had to screw mine down for bracing.in turn bass got louder and a whole lot less port noise.specs seems to be on par.just make **** sure he builds it out of 3/4 and does something better than nail the face on using 6 very small nails.i was able to take a flat head screw driver and pry the top off keeping the face in tact.you have been informed.

Its 2 cubic feet at the tuning it says it is but port area is severely lacking. You'll have major port noise due to high air velocity along with loss of output due to port compression. You'll need at least two 4" aeros for proper port area since these subs are high excursion.

You are at 6 sq inches of port area per cubic feet. Average range is 9-13 for flared aeros (can be high depending on woofer design)

Can you recommend me the best possible specs ? And a good place to buy a custom enclosure ?

Custom is custom made for your specific woofer and vehicle along with specific listening preferences. You dont go out buying some pre-made junk box from ebay and call it custom hoping to god your sub performs in it.

Definitely not from ebay or amazon.

Hit up some forum members on here, they can build and ship you boxes for much cheaper than the 300-600 car audio shops charge you.

Okay no need to bash my judgement lol. I'm definitely not an expert on subwoofer enclosures. I just figuered due to his feedback and it somewhat related to the specs on sundown audio websites. But I do appreciate the advice and definitely will look more into it.

if ya had a lower end sub like my d6.that box is great.it does the job with satisfaction.im just upgrading to get a little louder going down the interstate with the windows down.do i need to upgrade.not really lol.but i am....point being.those boxes for lower end subs are great if its 3/4 mdf and the extra face or baffle is screwed down.that xcon you are thinking about would probably break the hell out of one of those boxes.

Sorry if I came off a little blunt, just a lot of people make that mistake on here and complain why are their old weaker subs are louder than their new beefier subs.
