Need help on what this subwoofer is

picked this up of a guy said it worked. tested it on ohm reader looks good. only plays at low volume then cuts out. I'm looking to get a drop in recone for it but have no idea what the hell it is looks like a old SSE

I'd cut the dust cap off and see if there's a short at where the tinsel leads connect to the former. Might just be a simple solder fix.

i would hook up your dmm and push and pull the cone slowly and see what the oms read. this why you can see if its the sub or your amp or what ever you hooked it to. look at the leads see if you can find the brake maybe you can fix it. if not them you need to find out what size coil gap,, spider diameter so you can get a recone.

but does look fi.
