Hey guys I like the way my Stang sets now that my speaker box for 2 10's is out of the car and the mach box is out also so before I decide on which subs to go with ( want 2 10's more than likely), I want to know if there are any that will go in a small enclosure that can be properly tuned and in a ported box. My dimensions allowable now is around 12 H X maybe 18 deep at most X 31 W. Even if i have to pay more for that type of sub that can go in a smaller enclosure I might consider and do that. I wish i can come to grips with going with one sub and maybe I would consider one 8, 10, or 12 but probably would prefer 2 10s.

Thanks

Thats 2.95 net before port and sub, dayton HOs like small boxes but you can peobably make a ported for 2 10s with that

x2 for Daytons
for 2 - 10s in my 95 stang, what's the lowest total amount of cubic ft I can go with?

Jl w6v3 10s if you want swag look and decent performance in a tiny box

Sundown e 10s Sundown e 8s

Dcon 10s

Sound qubed cheap 10s
yeah had the sundown audio E 10's as first choice considering size of box I needed but the box would need to be larger than one I had in for the pioneers and the cubic ft for the pioneers were 2.333 cubic ft.

just called Jl and tech said ported and tuned box to around 30 something, maybe 30-33 , each sub would need .75 for a total of 1.5 cubic ft so I have some pondering to do lol

also will check the others you listed and see what size box smallest for them

got to get with a few guys who are going to build the box and tell them what the tech just told me and see for tuning purposes what size the box will be. I know 1.5 cubic feet is what I need for ported and tuned as the tech said. I have 12 inches of height to work with, and would like to go with 31 inches of length but , well unless 8 inches would suffice for the depth. But that would be a total 2976. 2976 divided by 1728 equals 1.72 cubic ft.

Called the tech back and he said that 1.5 would increase some because depending on port size so he gave me a rough estimate of around 2.0 total cubic ft at most but I will again get with builders and see what they say. Also will consider the othe subs as well as the cost of the JL's are pretty high //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Buy sundown sticker and stick it on the dust cap. Boom. Done.

I meant to say smallest amount of space the 2 10 inch Dayton's would be fine in, ported and tuned

will see if a contact number for Dayton. I believe I called earlier and left a message. Will email also

Actually tech said Dayton audio 10's particular part number calls for 1.5 for vented box and so that's going to be too large of a box total for 2 10s.

Just called SSa for D con and said around 1 1/4 for ported box for total of around 2.50 cubic ft for 2 10s.

Looks like the smallest out of all of the recommdations of speakers today were the JL W6v3 and also the most expensive at the $ 375 at the lowest I've found so gotta weigh all of that to what I want to do. Wish I could bring myself to liking just one sub but not sure either
