Even Better than a shipping slip that he could have created wherever.

Wait until he contacts the shipping company,.

You need to see the paper that you or a family member signed (which didnt happen) to recieve that item. Without that, everything else is heresay.

You are A-ok. Dont sweat it homie

If you live in different states and theres a trail of internet conversations and transactions it will never fly that you came to see him. Especailly for something thats that inexpensive. If you know of other people that this also happened too your case is only stronger. Id start with what the Termrpo thread said.

I had the same thing happen to me here too. Except if from a piece of sh!t member that was well liked. His name was Donn Ballenger aka Gnomeaudio. I gave him 150 for a box and never got it. I never pursued it though. Ive contemplated going to Wellston Ohio and giving his cute little Audi TT and nice smashing but then Id be the lesser person.

He's one of the few people I hope dies slowly and painfully, preferably by being trapped in a fire without being asphyxiated by smoke.

I know when you are on the selling side of a transaction on eBay and there is a Non-Performing Seller dispute filed against you to be protected by eBay and PayPal's Seller Protection policy you have to be able to show (via an online-trackable method) that you shipped the buyer's item out within 30 days of receipt of payment and to a PayPal Confirmed address.

Personally I think 30 days is much to long to wait to send someone their stuff after they pay you but that is the policy and my opinion of it has no bearing on this conversation.

This policy does not cover the seller if he/she fails to use on online trackable shipping method (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS w/ Delivery Confirmation, etc). It is for this reason that some eBay sellers do not allow for local pickup even if you live in the same city. If they can't prove it was sent/delivered then the policy won't cover 'em. I would assume that much the same applies to a case such as yours.

The best defense being a good offense so going with j3bus2k3's advice would likely serve you well. Go on the offensive and keep the pressure on coolizm.

1) Demand proof that the screen was shipped and delivered to the address provided her through the PayPal payment.

2) Find all the threads you can regarding your transaction on this forum and any other if applicable then print them our in their entirety. Hard copies are always a good thing when you're trying to prove who was on the right side of a deal.

3) Find any and all threads that you can referencing anyone else that has been jacked around by coolizm and do the same thing. Hard copies are your friend.

4) Make certaiin to make the 'investigators' aware of the timeline. If something shady had truly been perpetrated by you then why is coolizm only now raising a fuss about it?

If I can think of any others I'll come back and post 'em up.

Good luck, bro.

Thanks man I will see what i can do

Well about 4 months ago, possibly 3, i was scammed by a member on here named coolizm. Along with myself a few other were scammed. I know i should of seen that this person had only had 10 posts and I should of been more suspicious but I wasnt. Well after a couple days I filed a dispute with paypal to see if they could get my money back. The policy with paypal is that you must wait 10 days and if the seller does not respond you are awarded the claim. I waited and waited and he never responded. I was awarded the claim, but since the seller had no money in his account they could not give me the money....great support from paypal:furious: .
Well after a couple weeks I filed a dispute with my credit card company. After a couple more weeks they granted me the claim. I was awarded my money and I figured all was finished. I went ahead and deleted my pms through which me and coolizm ( went by the name michelle) had been talking about the lcd screen - alpine iva-d300 to be exact. Well now about 2 months later She/He filed a complain with the credit card company saying that she sent the item to me, and that i was at fault.

Now I have to talk witht he credit card company and present my case.

My questions are this:

For the Caraudio.com Administrator and Mods:

  1. Can you recover lost pm's that were deleted?

For the Mods and General Users:

What evidence can I present to these people, the investigators I will call them.

I have the evidence of others saying they were scammed but that is it.

I could say that he would have to prove he shipped it, but can the shipping companies recover information from that long ago?

Just wondering as i am very concerned that I may get messed over for something that I was messed over with in the first place. Many thanks!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
I'm sorry to hear about this bad transaction. Unfortunately, the PMs you deleted are gone. They aren't keep in backup for that long after they are deleted. If I were you however, first thing, I would check with the shipping companies to see if they could pull up any information to prove that this item wasn't shipped. Right now, it's pretty much a he said, she said case. Good luck.

Thanks for the help and advice everyone:

Just a quick update:
