The Dynasty Continues...
Well about 4 months ago, possibly 3, i was scammed by a member on here named coolizm. Along with myself a few other were scammed. I know i should of seen that this person had only had 10 posts and I should of been more suspicious but I wasnt. Well after a couple days I filed a dispute with paypal to see if they could get my money back. The policy with paypal is that you must wait 10 days and if the seller does not respond you are awarded the claim. I waited and waited and he never responded. I was awarded the claim, but since the seller had no money in his account they could not give me the money....great support from paypal:furious: .

Well after a couple weeks I filed a dispute with my credit card company. After a couple more weeks they granted me the claim. I was awarded my money and I figured all was finished. I went ahead and deleted my pms through which me and coolizm ( went by the name michelle) had been talking about the lcd screen - alpine iva-d300 to be exact. Well now about 2 months later She/He filed a complain with the credit card company saying that she sent the item to me, and that i was at fault.

Now I have to talk witht he credit card company and present my case.

My questions are this:

For the Caraudio.com Administrator and Mods:

  1. Can you recover lost pm's that were deleted?

For the Mods and General Users:

What evidence can I present to these people, the investigators I will call them.

I have the evidence of others saying they were scammed but that is it.

I could say that he would have to prove he shipped it, but can the shipping companies recover information from that long ago?

Just wondering as i am very concerned that I may get messed over for something that I was messed over with in the first place. Many thanks!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Dont know if anyone has ever been to court for this or whatever, just wondering what I could do with that, that is with internet fraud

What I would do is not to be defensive trying to explain yourself, get on his ***. Question him why he didnt try to resolve. If you made threads trying to resolve, print those out. Thats really all i can think of. Sorry to hear about that man.

WOW that was helpful. ('bout as helpful as this one....../TipToes away quietly hoping no one saw/)
Wow sorry for saying I was sorry that happened to him. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Grow up.

Im sure the cc company would want some proof that he actually sent something...unless he has some proof from UPS/fedex i think he would still be screwed. GL.
Bingo, ask him how he allegedly sent it. Then ask for proof. If he cant show it then small claims court will get him.

yes, but coudlnt he say i came and visited and picked it up, but then i could say that they could check our credit card statements and show we didnt fly, then he could say we drove, i meen this is messed up, i dont know whats really ganna happen

I guess I can try that, but i cant speak directly with the man, so hopefully these investigators get it figured out

They will...unless he has a reciept from like fedex saying a package was mailed from his address to yours he is screwed. Like anyone would fly to pick a screen lol.. you for teh win...
