Need Help- amp wiring

I took an amp and sub to Circuit City to have them install it. I have an 05 Honda Civic with the factory in-dash cd changer. It seems like they wired the amp to the ignition- it turns on when I start the car. The problem I am having, is that when the stereo is OFF, I start to hear bass when I go over bumps, and then the sub starts to push hard bass constantly and does not stop until I turn the stereo ON. It does this if I'm in Park and just rev the engine a bit also, but once I turn the stereo ON it stops. Any idea what the issue is?

It sounds as if the headunit is not providing any control over the amp input. With an open input, an amp could oscillate.

Either way, you could try to connect the amp remote connection to the headunit remote power connection as it should be. (Or take it back and have them do it right)

Cant Be The Gain If He Said The Radios Is Of. Im Pretty Sure Cc Fuked Up Ur Wiring. Instead Of The Ignitions Wire Turning On The Amps Take It To Cc And Scream On Em That It Should Be Dont Correctly And Use The Dam Remote Wire.

It was for me on 2 different occasions. I installed an amp and sub to the factory stereo, using the radio fuse in the fuse box for the remote. Whenever the HU was turned off loud long bass would sound for like 2 secs. All I did to resolve the problem was turn the gain down a little and it never happened again. Hopefully thats all he needs to do.
