need he;[,car stereo plug ins, not the right ones.

So i tried to put my new stereo in today only to find out that the plugs are different, but i ordered a adapter which is just a plug with wires coming out the back that i would have to put on another plug that fits the stereo with cables coming off the back as well. thought it would be already put together when i ordered it but s&&t. My question is whill i have to clamp these together or soder them and also on one i hace 14 cables while on the other i only have 12 so how am i supose to make these work?

Do the cables on the new HU not match up to the factory ones? If they do just go red to red, black to black, etc

well the thing is there are 14 cables for the factory ones while there are 12 cables for the new one.

the colours wont match up lol, google the make/model and year of your car for a wiring diagram for the radio/cd player
