Need Good Budget Subs!! ! (12'' Subs)

I don't have alot of money to spend (hence I need some budget subs). I have been searching around the forum and have read alot of opinions on certain subs.

My budget is $200 (or less) total for 2 12" subs. I am looking for SQL. I want to get decently loud while sounding good doing it. I want to feel the bass hit. I would be buying a new amp to power the new subs (probably 900+ rms). My budget for the amp is $200 or less. I would also be building a new box to house the new subs.

My choices so far: (keep in mind I will buying 2 12"

1. Kicker CVR's ($150 for both)

2. Pioneer TS-W306's (I already have one, another one would cost $55)

3. After reading threads, AA Assasins ($190+shipping for both i think)

4. I just read reviews and threads here and on other forums. The Mach 5 Audio Maw subs have gotten good reviews. Now that I know that, my decision is made even harder!

Mach 5 Audio MAW's ($120+shipping)

5. single or 2 TSW30004SPL or Type R (but my amp would only be around 800-900w RMS)

6. Phoenix Gold RSD's - ($160+shipping) After searching through a number of forums and reading many threads, these subs seem appealing so i added them to the mix!!!

Is there anything else I should add to my list? I really have no idea on the other brands etc. Feel free to suggest others. What rank whould you order? Consider how loud, sound quality, and price please.

If anything, I am willing to consider a single 12" that is under $200 as long as it is a better all around sub than 2 of the listed above.

get the assassins. best sub up there. probably above everything other than the cvr in spl and definately wins in the sq department.

you can put a lot of power to the type r's and if you put them ported i think they will get VERY loud and pretty darn cheap

Would a single 12" Type R or a single 12" TSW3004SPL get louder and sound better than any 2 12'' that are my choices?

no. a pair of any of those above mentioned will get louder and all but the cvr will have better sq.

the 2 12'' AA Assassins are rated at 350RMS. Are they underrated? Can they take more power daily? 400+?

yeah they are...they should be able to take 500rms, but output wise i don't think they are going to be as loud as some others...

my tsw3k's honestly put my old asssassin 10's to shame...i mean they were very loud, much louder then my 9kv3's, but the tsw's were much, much louder then the two 10's, and i dont' think the 12's are going to be that much of a difference, ofcourse i had 2x the power going into the tsw's (1700 rms vs 900rms) but its still remarkably louder then the assassins...like i said, i'm not comparing 12's to 12's and same wattage but i'd imagine the assassin 12's be similar...

but i have to admit, i did notice that the assassins were slightly cleaner then the tsw3k's

for sound quality go with the assassin's

for output look into the mach5 audio maw-12.

either would take about 400W each sub (but would require different wiring configurations). assassin's would wire to 2 ohms, while the mach 5's could be wired to 1.
