Ok i had a amp that blown...well i decided to take it to this shop and get it fixed after about two weeks i got it back and they said it wasnt fixable but i didnt think they were right because they were wrong about another amp so i took it to a real good friend of my dads who work on amps. got a call today saying whoever i took it to just scammed me and took half the parts out of it. I should of checked it when i got it back due to the fact my fan cover was missing but i didnt have time..All in all is there anything i could do to this shop...only thing i have is my dad friend worked on it before and after it been messed up so he could probally vouche that these parts were there when i took it..

What does "half of the parts" entail ? Electrical components only or other accessories in/on the amplifier ?

Call and speak with the shop manager/owner.

Contact the local authorities if you think it was blatant stealing.

Contact the BBB.

Take an ad out in the local paper advertising how they screwed you over (be careful not the cross the line into libel).

The one thing that could potentially screw you is that (depending on what's missing) the shop might be able to claim that the parts had to be removed while attempting to repair the amp, and after removal it was not economically feasible/worthwhile to replace them.

well it wasnt a amp i was using it just one i wanted to fix hate to see an amp go to waiste but yeah i will talk to them see what they say and if they dont say what i want to hear then i will take it into my own hands

A week and then they said it cant be fixed....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Heres what prob. happend, they opened her up, thought they could fix it and just made the situation worse. Same thing happened to me, I was being a dumbass and instead of sending my PG Xenon back to PG, I took it to some local shop a friend told me about. The guy is like "yeah I can fix it, should be done next week" and a month later after hearing shit excuses I tell him to give me the amp back before I have his *** locked up.

Get the amp back, send it to PG and they tell me the guy ****ed up the internals and it cost me even more money to get it fixed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif . I have no faith in any local repair shops. If at all possible just send it to the manufacturer and have it fixed.
