Need electrical upgrades

A H.O. alternator isnt an option unless i get a 2nd alternator and have someone fab a bracket but i dont think there is room to do that.

Right now i am sitting at 13.6 at idle at the battery (only 1 batt.). I have a pdx-4.100 and zx1500.1 and at full tilt i drop to the 11's at the amp but the battery stays above 13.4. I have a good amp ground and upgraded the alt to battery cable with 1/0 and am doing the engine ground and battery ground soon. I am looking to add one or two batteries in the back. Do you think i should go ahead and replace the starting battery since it sits at 13.6?

And what battery (ies) do you reccomend? I suppose i will have to order online bc none of the autoparts stores anywhere near me carry or can get a sealed battery other than optimas.

Would a 2nd run of 1/0 be worth while?

I've always like the kinetik batteries, very small footprint for the amperage they put out, just be sure to get a decent isolator. not sure about the starting system though. the big 3 and extra battery should cure your problems i would think....unless you'd also want to add a decent sized capacitor? (and i'm sure i'll get bashed for even putting that but they jump up the volts in most cases)

Well it's obvious that I dont need to bash about the Cap, you already have.
The extra battery is definitely needed.
Thanks for stating the obviuos but they do boost the voltage output in some cases. some people hate them and some swear by them, i kno what they're for and do...i was simply making a suggestion.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

What kind of battery is up front? But yea, in the rear I would add a kinetik or xs power...and adding another run always helps..but you then have to think about it doubling your cost in fuses/fuse holders...because with a battery/batteries in the trunk you will now have to fuse the run(s) at both ends going from front to back because if it/they short in the middle of the run/runs and only fuses are in the engine bay the short will still be drawing off the rear batt's and wont be a good situation at all...just a note (dont forget this..)

u obvilously dont no what they do, they dont boost the voltage.

Cap is suppose to stabilize the voltage, meaning if u have a good electircal to back it up, it will give the amp a steady voltage when there are heavy bass notes.

caps arent a good choice if you already have voltage issues

i still need to do mine hahah

getting voltage drops at idle down to high 11's on the big bass notes

well idk wat the amp is reading my edge programmer is showing low 11's from the pcm at full tilt on low bass songs and thats with stock 130amp alt and a upgraded duralast gold 1000amp batt and no big 3 done running around 1200rms will be running 2200rms so big 3 should fix my problems once i step up to 2200rms

wats the most i will need with 2200rms with a 130amp alt and big 3 done i will have a zx1500 at 2ohms and a zx850.4 using 700 of it
