everyone, is it true that you need more power to your speakers to get better midbass performance? because I can get a Kicker 650.4 for $50 than the Boston but would it be worth it anyone?

NO kicker 4 channels sound like crap. they have terrible sq. i had a 200.4 and it sounded aweful. very very loud but distorted to hell and back. im telling u my amp is where its at sir. sq and power.

I would pick the crossfire and the JBL over the Kicker, and you keeping talking about distortion, CEA 2006 is rated 14.4v @ 1% THD @ 4 ohm, the crossfire is rated @ 12.6v and the JBL is rated with much less %THD than CEA standards

SQ is subjective to the listener so I don't see how either of you have a valid point on that. Facts such as thd and rms are for this conversation. All though you could throw out there that no one really uses kicker in the sq classes lol... you do have few but not many what so ever.

I was thinking that too. I had a Kicker 4 channel before and it wasnt "terrible" but wasnt great either. Also could have been my speakers.

so of the JBL gto75.4II, Kicker zx650.4 , Boston Acoustics gt-475, Polk PA 500.4...which is the better choice?
