Right now I have one of my Punch P2D210 sub hooked to the B side and the Sub+ to the B+ and Sub- to B- like the manual said to do. Is that the best way?

I am also going to order another Punch P2D210 and would like ideas on how to hook those up if you can help please.

Thanks

Jay

You should have bought 4 ohm dvc subs that handle more power.
Well the 4 ohm and 2 ohm say they handle the same power. I am a noob at this so I do not see you point. Something more constructive might be helpful.

If you have 2 DVC 2 ohm subs you can wire to 2 ohms or .5 ohms or 8 ohms i believe..

If you had 2 4ohm DVC subs you can wire them to 1 ohm or 4 ohms.. the 1 ohm will give you more power from your amp thus ending up in more power..

and since most amps aren't .5 stable i wouldnt wire them down to that..

2 ohm and 4 ohm subs wire to different impendances and your amp is 1 ohm stable. You should upgrade the subs and utilize the amplifier's potential. It doesn't get any more constructive than that.

Thanks Maxi that is more clear to me. I see what you guys are saying now and how I get more out of the 4 ohms. I was going to buy the second sub so I will go ahead and get the 4 ohm. Gotcha.

Thanks

No. You'll need to use two of the same subs. Don't wire a 2 ohm and 4 ohm sub together...

Return the 2 ohm sub and buy 2 DVC 4's
This... If you only have 1 DVC 4 ohm sub.. you can wire it to 2 ohms...

If you only have 1 DVC 2 ohm sub you can wire it to 1 ohm like you have now..

now IF YOU GET ANOTHER DVC 2ohm sub you can only wire it to 2 ohms or .5 ohms....

So do what he said and return the 2 ohm you have now.. and get 2 DVC 4 ohm Punch P2's

He could also wire his current sub to 4 ohms and the Sundown will power it nicely. It's a waste of the amp's potential, though...

He might want to upgrade to P3's while he's at it (if he insists on using RF subs)...
Good point. Its a really nice amp, spec wise anyway. (Ive never owned one) but yea. No point in owning one if youre not going to use it to its potential.

Thanks for the help. One more question. I do not get the "if he insists on using RF subs". I can buy any new sub I just do not have a ton of cash so some of the $600.00 subs will not work for me. Something around $100-120 a speaker is my price range. So give me ideas if there is a reason not to use the Punch.
