Jensen VM9224 not playing dvds or acknowledging DVD as a source

Just got my VM9224 installed and the radio works fine, apparently the backup camera would work fine, but the DVD source is grayed out and it won't load DVDs or CDs. Is this an easy fix or is it a wiring problem that I have to take back to the installer? The dvds/cds will go in most of the way but then gets spit back out. Car is a 1996 Lexus SC300. Thanks in advance for any help.

bad deck, get it exchanged. or buy a better brand. thre isnt a cd eject wire dude. its something inside the radio. this is a common issue with dual/jensen/phase linar/power acustik/vr3/any of the off brand crap.

Apparently there was a problem with some leveling screws during the install but they seemed to have fixed it and the dvds/cds are playing well now. Guess we'll see if the unit itself lasts or not.

Yeah there's a screw that you HAVE to remove on some decks before it can read any discs. I believe it's there so the optical reading mechanism don't get jarred around during shipping.

what? omg really they didnt remove the screws?? my god...this should all be checked for proper operation before it leaves the bay if it was done at a pro shop
