Need any information on an alpine 3532 4 channel amp

Hello, a friend of mine wants to get rid of an old amp he has laying around but doesn't know much about it, can anyone shed some light? I've done a lot of googling and have come up with a little bit like it being possibly 18/4 rms and 40/4 max. I recently purchased a alpine dvd player that I didn't know required an outside amplification source and was hoping this alpine 3531 would fit the bill? From pictures it seems like I shouldn't need to run another power cable from the battery but I could be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The hu is a iva d100 if that matters.

D'oh meant 3531... well hopefully that hasn't outed me as a complete noob. haha

The 3531 is 18W x 2. I did a quick search through some of our old Alpine documents and the 3532 seems to be newer than our records cover. A lot of our old manuals and equipment were sold off a few years ago.

I would still run a separate fused power line from the battery for this amplifier, even if it's only 18W x 4.

pics of the amp? these are prob very similar to the ford factory alpine amps from the 90's

he has the connector to go into the power side but does not have the speaker level inputs which I don't want anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to look through your archives, I was hoping it wasn't too old where the manuals were gone, guess its too be expected though thanks again. 18x4 is about what I needed, the HU I got supposedly came with a small amp but was lost along time ago. This should do until I can upgrade later it was pretty cheap. I only have some cheapish Pioneer 5x8's in my car the A6885 from Best Buy they say 60 watt rms but they were distorting bad just with my old HU so I doubt they can actually handle that but i'm a old school guy coming back so maybe they can. Thanks again!
