1. I'm gonna throw a 2000 rms amp on my HDC3 (I doubt i'll use all of that). But if I have a kinetik up front and one in back, can my 105 amp alt. handle that?

2. My box in my car is 4 cu.ft. tuned to 40, the port is right up against the back and the sub is back also. I heard that in SUVs, you should have sub up and port back but the port should be at least 5 inches away from the back, would I notice a difference if I changed to that?

Thanks.

1. i really doubt it. i was dimming a decent ammount on my 135a on 1200wrms. 2. yea, it messed the tuning up. why such a high tuning if this is a daily?
1. I think it'll be fine overall, I just wanna be sure. I was running around 1300-1400 watts on it for a while and got little dimming.

2. Dude....it's an HDC3.......It likes the 38-40 tuning.

Dude 2k rms aint shit, you will be fine...

I ran 2500 with no extra batt and stock batt.

You may run into equipment or electrical issues but your amp 99% of the time wont be even at half output.

The second one, I don't know. Just have enough room for the sub's excursion and you shouldn't be able to notice unless you have a sharp ear.

I heard that you need to have the port away from the back so the air has more room to flow or something, lol.

When I had my memphis prs (in avatar) the box wasn't bolted down so it moved a lot and I could tell when it moved up against the back because the bass just wasn't there. I'm just wondering if i'm crazy or not:).

if possible, just turn the box on its back and have the sub and port facing up. problem number 2 solved.

and your electrical will be fine. I run 2kwrms off stock 70Amp alt and batt and big 3 and only dim when at full tilt on bass heavy songs. you'll be fine

......I think what i'm gonna do is.......build a box...sub up, port back away from the back of the car....and see what happens.....

At least we got number 1 solved:)

You'll be just fine electrical wise, as long as u don't beat on it all day long.

4ft3 @38hz, 50-60sq in of port, sub up/port back works best in my SUV experience (but play around w/ different boxes and you'll find the one that suits ur setup/vehicle properly)
