Need alternate solution for car stereo system for 2004 Cadillac Deville

It is going to cost about $800 for all the wiring kits, harnesses, and labor to replace my stereo system in my 2004 Cadillac Deville. I want to upgrade the entire system for my son. Is there a way around the expense of the wiring kits and harnesses? An innovative way to add a new system without replacing the old?

Absolutely, do the labor yourself.

Just because it's a Cadillac doesn't mean it's any harder to change decks or run wires over any other vehicle.

It's all the same, however you may need some PAC adapters to regain control of the factory functions.

It can all easily be done.

yeah DIY is going to be your best bet. It's nowhere near 800 for the wiring harnesses. What gear are you trying to get installed?
