Yeah dc power will hook you up. I got my 270xp over a year ago and had zero problems with it.

I got mine from mechman and had it in a few days after ordering it. Just make sure you get it off the phone. I got the 270 amp for $400...and I got a 3.4/3400 as well. Well mine is on a 2002 pontiac grand am...but same motor.

I love it and it does what its supposed to do. 165 amps at idle/800 rpm and 270 at 1800. Too bad my car idles at 600 rpm though.

But yea I will always do business with mechman. They sent me the wrong alt the first time due to ordering online...and there online setup sucks. I called them, told them, and they sent me a alt for my car with a return shipping label to send the other alt back. I got it 4 days later and shipped the other one back. BUT my car is gay...wouldnt direct bolt on due to how my valve covers are too large. So they machined one of the ears to where it would fit my car and refunded my shipping cost that I used to send it to them. They machined it and shipped it back the same day they got it. Received it 3 days later. Been using for a couple months now and its a beast.

I have a 02 Impala, same motor as well. I'm not going to write out some long paragraph, just speaking from experience.

200a at idle, 15v+ charging, over a year installed with zero problems.
