I am currently running an Alpine SWR 1041D. That is the Type R with the 300w RMS rating, dual 4 ohm VC, wired to 2 ohms. Currently ran in a small sealed box, arround .75ft^3, filled with about 10oz of polyfil. I am currently running it off of a US acoustics USX600D. The amp, according to them, is 250w X 1 @4 ohm, and 375w X1 @2ohm. http://www.usacoustics.com/2004/usx600d%20specs.htm One other thing I was wondering, how can this put out 375 watts with only a 20 amp fuse rating? should I be running a bigger fuse?

I dont know if this amp acutally puts out its rated watts, or how good the amp actually is. I have been toying with the idea of upgrading, but I dont know if its really worth it. I dont want to spend more than 150 bucks right now, and want clean signal to the sub. I know thats not much, but I have found some deals on Ebay...

I was looking at the Infinity Reference series and the Alpine F series, but am not set on any amp, or upgrading at all. Lemme know what you think.

thanks

Matt

Nice find Polecat, thanks

I guess im wondering if I want to double the rms rated power(though the amp in the link shows a birth sheet of 704 watts) , or if something along the lines of the kx400 (seen several birth sheets that show arround 500w) would be a better option. Are the new ZX series as good as teh KX ones from 5 years ago?

Thanks

Matt
