nobody hates on the w7's. everyone says they are a **** good woofer. but everyone also knows that you dont have to spend 2x as much when you can get the same performance for cheaper. and no your friend didnt hit 170...EVER.
what do you mean by you dont want loud, you want SPL loud....

Sorry for that confusion......from what i am led to believe .....take for example the w6v2 12's .....he did a side by side comparison of the two .....the w7 hits "lower" ....way lower as he put it, but the w6 hits "louder" ....as in higher i am guessing .....that's what i was meaning ...i don't want a sub that can't drop down to 20...30hz or what have you...the high-end doesn't appeal to me as much as the very low, ball shaking bass...but i guess either way it's SPL ...but i should've said it in a different way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i just bought a 05 spec v and am gonna do a single sub setup prob a 12 or maybe a 15. i would recommend just one bl 15 or btl and that will b plenty low and loud i no my freind has one 15 fi q in his scion with just a sundown saz 1500 and he can hit a 144 at the headrest and its plenty loud. i would go with sundown amps and fi subs they are great products with great prices.keep me updated if u ever decide 2 buy nething and get it metered.

ya bro, people with like 6 18's hit 170db. 2 12's will not even get close, ever, no way in hell. your buddy must have been smokin some good crack, or was blowing some smoke up your ***:laugh: . w7's are good woofers dont get me wrong, but theres a many options out there, that are much better IMO, and are half the price. XXX is nice, but 2 would be power hungry... id probably go with FI as well

I had a spec v as my last car. I'll tell ya one thing, no matter how much deadening you use, you'll still heard a hell of rattling =P I had 1 15" Kicker L7 in my trunk in a 3 cuft ported box and not to mention it basically took up my whole trunk, but the rattling was annoying as ish =/. Anyway, if you go on forums.thevboard.com and search around there is this guy who had 2 W7s in his trunk in a wall I believe. I'll look for it if I have the time.

you can get pro60's from 12vkings off ebay for 300 bucks a set. good guys to deal with. mine had serial numbers as well unlike some sells on ebay.

I couldn't find that user name on ebay, is he still on there do you know? is that a company? either way I couldn't fine em
