I would like to get a good used amp that will do rated power... between 1200w and 1800w rms,

1 ohm stable is a must... I'd like to keep it under $200...

post or shoot me a pm if ya got something...

budgets low I know but please no boss, or wierd off brand stuff..

thanks...

There's nothing wrong with an AP IMO if you are on a tight budget and don't like used amps, Build within your means... But you can't tell me that you can put one head to head with a high quality amp and get the same results... Same rated watts head to head a higher quality amp is always going to sound better and get louder... And do it reliably time and time again
by the way a little distortion does not hurt and you probably wont hear it, it gets bad is when you push the amp to its limits and it does not matter what amp it is, you need to knwo the threshold of the amp on how far you can push it.

Yes I agree... I kind of went off on a tangent there for a few lolz... All I was trying to get at was that no matter what, rated vs. rated - toe to toe, quality will always prevail... The care & quality of parts that go into any amp that is built will always show through when put to the test... All my point was that you could take a rated AP and another same rated quality amp and set them up the exact same way on the exact same setup, and you will notice a difference... That's all I was really trying to say there lol

this is true and i agree that there will be a difference, the question is where will the difference, the question is on daily drive will you notice that difference and at how much price wise will this difference cost.

the thing people need to learn is if they are getting budget amps is if you need 1k then get the one rated for 1500, if you want 1700 get the one rated for 2k, if you want 2k get the 2400 or 2500 and so on. there are some good budget amps that can push the wattage you desire, just dont expect the ap 1500 to push 1500 cleanly

Ill sell you my MB Quart ONYX 1000.1 for $90 shipped. Only used a month not ONE scratch. All original boxing/paperwork. PM me if interested. Just throwing it out there in case. Ignore if not interested. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif.

Dont take this personally, but you will have the electrical to take care of all these watts, and a front stage to keep up? Id run more than 1600 if possible, you'll want to upgrade soon if you're anything like me lol.

you will need at least an extra battery at the back, if you need 1600w, i would suggest apsm 2k which is under $200 or that bamf 5500 $229, problem with budget amps they are power hoars and they are unforgiving on low electricals so make sure you have a volt meter so you don't blow them up

Yea, to push a decent voltage you're going to need a big battery in the back. Like a 100+ah at least to be good and dandy, or another yellertop

Make sure the run of 0ga from the Alternator to your battery has an inline fuse near the alternator in front, as well as one right before the battery in the back.

will do... putting 2 inlines 1 near alt, 1 near batt.
