well this guy is OUT THERE I went over his house last night he called and said I took the car to audio one to have them look over it, so I go just to see what he had to say well he actually had the nerve to say I snapped the fuse cover on upside down and if I had used star washer it would have been even better(even though they reduce contact area?)but if they didn't see the fuse cover they would have said there top guy had done it! so I got a little pissed and real quiet and said well snap the cover on the right way I got to go!(before I snap) well today he shows up and beeps the horn I go out and he say's I got you something in the back grab it, I open up the car and he went and got me the craftsman 154pc tool set(really nice set)? hey better then nothing but I already own a tool set?

Just a general comment - you can't ask for payment unless it was agreed before hand. If a "friend" expects your work to be free because you're a nice guy and someday he'll do the same for you, going back and asking to be paid is kinda lame on your part. I'd consider the experience as part of life and be ready to not be taken advantage of again.
And the dude sounds like an azzole.

I never stated a price just that I was happy to have the work and needed the money and he kept coming back with the you know I'll take care of you!

and to give you an idea of what type of person he is, he had gave me some old pioneer tweets that where laying in his garage and I said I will pay/trade something for them he said no there a gift a few days later he say's hey since I gave you those tweets are you going to give me that carbon fiber mag holder? I know he's an older guy and that's why I try to help him where I can but I don't like being used. I didn't even mind giving him the holder I had offered it days before but he said the tweets where a gift for me helping around his house since somethings are hard for him.

well he just gave me a couple hundred in tools so I guess we're good, but I really needed the cash!
