Ok I was running a HDS3 12 dual 2 ohm in a 3-3.5 cube box ported off of a Massive audio N3 nano. I just ordered 2 obsidian 15s, they say 600 watts but I see that everyone is putting a lot more to them. My plan was to just run them on this N3 and just buy a N4 later on. I just came across a autotek mx2000. Are these things as underrated as they say they are and would it be worth the swap. I can get the mx2000 pretty cheap, and I like the old school stuff. Thanks in advance I always get most of my questions accuratly answered with you guys.

The older autotek amps are beastly but that one is only 2 ohm stable I believe

Everything I seen was rated 1200 @ 1 ohm but I don't know if that at 12v and if that's an under rating or what. Im looking for 1700-2k for my obsidians and don't know what that amps actually capable of in real world settings.

2kw amp is about the most I'd do on 2 OA subs. They are not grossly underrated like a lot of subs out there. 600-800 clean watts is about all they want/need.

I haven't checked on the v3's though, maybe things have changed....
