Need A LOT of help with installing 2 (JL Audio 10W3V3-2) subs!

I was already planning on getting some speakers, but do I really need anp for them? They're 6.5's
& also, would that be a separate amp?
"need" is relative. if you power them from the head unit you will hear audible distortion above 1/3 volume which limits the signal you send to the subs, which forces you to turn up the sub gain, which causes more noise. a head unit amplifier is the size of a credit card. nothing impressive.

you don't need an external amp for it to work and make noise at high volumes. if you want good sounding music at higher volumes, then an external amp is required for the speakers. this also lets you insert a high pass filter on the speaker to remove low bass from them - which has the benefit of providing further musical clarity. when replacing the front speakers, you will want a component set so the tweeters can be placed and aimed properly (not down below your knees). your car should already have separate tweeters up front. note that adding speakers and a speaker amp further increases the effort and cost since you are now wiring speakers.

Dont look at sonys headunits try alpine pioneer and kenwood.
and the saz1200d is a really good amp and is likely better than the jx in every way possible. For one itll put out more power
I can honestly say that the sony decks I have used have been top notch. I have run 10+ decks, and the sonys are not bad once you get into the $120+ range.

I avoid Sony head units due to how they sound, their features, their cosmetics and button layout, display, menu navigation, and build quality. I also avoid Pioneer for similar reasons. Alpine is my go-to for personal use and Kenwood I've used on many other installs. I have solved many system problems/issues/dislikes in the past 20 years by switching out Sony and Pioneer decks for Alpine or Kenwood.

I have no issue with Clarion or JVC either, both are fine companies with good products, just not the feature set and cosmetics I prefer.

That's not to say you cannot be happy with a Sony - it all depends on your expectations.
