hi guys,

i was doing some calculations for my truck space and 2 15".

i have a max of 34" wide .

sq web site says for 2 - 15" that 9.00^3 is good.

i was thinking..

34"w-22"h-32"d port= 20-1/2 h x 7w x 24" long. ( net 9.29^3 ) tuning 35.31 hz.

this is trying to get subs and port out facing the tailgate. but as you can see i dont have enough room for 2-15 and a 7" wide port.

so would putting the port on top of the box be ok ?

what do you guys think ?

is there anything i need to change ?

i plan on using the hole back of my 1st gen. s10 blazer.

Vehicle : 88 s10 blazer ( in avatar )

Location in the vehicle: back

Space available (Length x Width x Height): these are max... 48"deep x 30"high x 36"wide

Subwoofer make and model: sq hdc3 15" d2 2 of them.

Subwoofer Size: 15"

Number of Subwoofers: 2

Type of Port (Kerfed, Slot, Aero, etc.): slot

What type of music do you like?: heave bass rap, decaf,

Is your goal SPL or Everyday Music?: everyday but i like pounding bass.

Tuning Freq (Hz): ?? not sure. my box now is tuned to 34 hz .

Volume : sq says for 2- 15" 9.00^3 but was thinking about 10.00^3

Just my opinion I prefer my enclosures on the small side but still tuned low. Large enclosures especially oversized sound sloppy to me. 3600 watts on 2 15's will definitely slam though.

the only thing is, i was told my the owner of sq that these subs like the bigger boxes . well i was told that these 15" like 5.0^3 per sub. so that would be about 10^3 net.

im trying to find out what box ( size,, port placement ,, ect) i need to make. i have never biuld a box so i want to try. but i have no idea how to figure it all out.

cutting and putting it together is the easy part and i can do it.

and ya im hoping i get this truck rock en even more lol.
