Need a little advise on home theater subs.

I just wanted to know some good subwoofers that i could build a box for in my home theater system, I need one 12 and one 15, I was thinking about the Shiva and the Tempest but wanted some input, thanks in advance.

perfect woofers for HT setup. DVC8ohm woofers, most of the HT amps are 8ohm. so make sure you know how to wire them correctly for the right ohm load.

Correct, however, most plate amps are stable to 4 ohm so he could just wire them in parallel. It doesnt matter what ohm rating the receiver is because it isnt actually powering the sub.

Dayton Audio makes great HT subs as well. http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage.cfm?&DID=7&WebPage_ID=114

Really though, any sub can be used in HT as long as you can get the proper impedence with it.
